One of the retreats, that you may visit, before the flight in Miami International Airport, is Delta Sky Club. The lounge is located in the Concourse H of South Terminal. Delta Sky Club is on the third level, so it is accessed just through the elevator.
Delta Sky Club Design
At first sight, it is noticeable that Delta Sky Club serves multi-functional duties. It looks like a comfortable office, where you can have the necessary work done. Besides, it is the space, ideal for relaxation between two exhausting flights. Finally, it is the place, where a simply tasty dinner is served.
To fulfill all these travelers’ needs, Delta Sky Club’s design is not inspirational but functional. The color palette is very simple here. It is a combination of white, grey, and light blue colors. Many guests mention, that Delta Sky Club is quite small. At the same time, it is not overcrowded, even in the peak hours, as it is not so popular in comparison with other MIA lounges.
The lounge starts from the hall, full of soft light blue armchairs. Although these pieces of furniture don’t look too cozy to have a nap, they are ideal for resting for a couple of hours with a book or a laptop on your knees. There’s a small nightstand near each armchair. Here you can put a cup or a glass with some drink, your book or magazine, glasses, etc. The socket nearby may be used to recharge the gadgets’ batteries.
The next hall is a bit smaller, but it hosts many tired lounge guests, who need some relaxation. Deep soft armchairs with rounded corners will serve as the best support to your back and neck. The tables near armchairs also serve different purposes.
Unfortunately, there are no recliners in the Delta Sky lounge to sleep in. But deep soft armchairs are great for having a short nap.
Delta Sky Club Food and Beverages
Many guests come to the Delta Sky Club to satisfy their hunger or to quench their thirst. The Delta Sky Club is not the place, where you can get the restaurant-kind dinner. Still, there’s enough food and drinks here to satisfy the basic needs.
The beverage range is quite wide here. Among non-alcoholic options, you can choose any coffee-based drink, like Latte, Americano etc. There’s hot tea here, too. Among cold drinks, you may have juice, soda water, shakes, etc.
There’s a full-sized bar at the Delta Sky Club. There are lots of alcoholic drinks, like scotch, whiskey, different types of cocktails, etc here. Some of the drinks are free, while the major part must be paid for.
As for the food options, the dishes are simple, but fresh and tasty here. If you want to have a snack, you may take a small burger, grilled vegetables, or ham slices. For the full meal, there are hot soups and salads on the menu. For dessert, you may have the vanilla custard, a wide selection of fruits, chocolate cookies, rice krispies bars, etc.
The refreshments are self-served in this lounge.
Delta Sky Club Amenities
There is no luxury in the Delta Sky Club lounge. Still, the most necessary amenities are available here. The guests, who come to this lounge, enjoy the comfortable relaxation and business spaces. There’s a fast Wi-Fi connection in the Delta Sky, which serves both, relaxation and productivity needs.
If you are in the mood to watch some show, you may do it in the TV room. For lovers of calm rest, there are stands with magazines and newspapers.
The good news is there are shower cabins in the Delta Sky lounge. That means long-distance travelers will have an opportunity to refresh on their way and get that deep relaxation they need in the midst of their journey.
